CHANGE IS GOOD...

At the Renaissance Center our group training programs change three times a year ( fall, winter, and summer) and usually when time rolls around for the programs to change, I am more than ready for it!  I believe that our bodies adapt, pretty quickly, to the work we are doing and periodically we need to change up our workout routines to keep our bodies responding the way we want them to.  We are lucky enough in the summer to get to take our bootcamp program outside with the added benefit of absorbing a little vitamin D from the sun while we workout!  This is the fourth summer of our bootcamp program and even though we make minor modifications every year to keep it interesting, it is still one of our most popular programs.  This summer, hoping to maintain the weight loss momentum that started with the Lose to Win Challenge, we are going to focus on High Intensity Interval Training to help people reach their fitness goals over the upcoming summer months.  In my opinion there is no better time than the summer to try to lose weight and get in shape - our bodies lack the hibernation effect the winter seems to have on us, our appetites are not as great, it's hot and we sweat a lot! I hope everyone will take this opportunity to change up their program and set some goals for the summer.
